I closed my eyes last night,

hefty in sleep,

unknown of the dreams. 

 

I opened my eyes in another blink,

finding myself still, 

resting next to you.

 

Sand was wet on my back,

moonlight shone bright,

we star gazed all night.

 

Our eyes conversed.

Heartbeats spoke of lips,

saying thousands of lyrics.

 

Every lyric made a song,

we danced to,

all night arm in arm we swirled.

 

Clasping warm hands,  

our footprints on the sand,

every step carved a new tale.  

 

The night witnessed a union,

of amity and love, 

yours and mine.

 

A saga of togetherness. 

I dreamt of.
